Are there any ops who are running server-side scripts that automate changes to the Gold editors? I want to know how careful I need to be in moving around settings in the Gold editors, with the possibility of changing the key associated with some settings.

We do.



It will not affect us with you making whatever changes you need to. So far we have been able to adapt our scripts here to work with the changes made. We have had no issues on our end with script changes (adjustments), and it has not taken much of our time to change (adjust).

I'm glad to hear that, Thrawn. I don't want to place any more of a burden on those ops who are doing this kind of scripting than I absolutely have to. I feel like it's punishing the hardest working and most committed of my gameops. I just hope the changes that do effect the scripts are worthwhile so you don't feel it's wasted work.

I've done a lot of work on TEDIT in the last few weeks and I'm sure it's going to break some things. I'm working with V'Ger and Vid to minimize the impact and make sure nothing gets broken that isn't broken for a good reason, like an important fix or new feature.

I'll see if I can add this new Gold feature without changing any of the action keys. That shouldn't break anything.
