I think that's what he is talking about for the Stardock setting so the port can now remain a Class 9, but allow for changing the port type to SBB/SSS/BBB ..... Unless I am missing something I think this is what he said. |

Actually I was saying that the Star Dock does not bang with port set to 3,000 , 3,000 , 3,000 values as it should 100% of the time. that was the main part of this thread. |

Hrmm ok, must be intermittent, I just banged 6 games and it was 300 300 300 which is 3K for all 3. |

yes , it is intermittent I was just reporting a bug and asking if it has been fixed. I have a list of feature/bugs as an ongoing project. My hopes is to help players with things I think would be nice for all and get some things that have been wrong since the start. I have decided that I'll bring one to lite and see how its greeted to figure out if I want to continue to help or not. Those who know me know I'm about the players and sysops except in games or tourneys .. then its all about Team Kraaken. Just here to help .. its a give & take world. |

Your all about the Sysops as long as the problem gets resolved to your satisfaction. otherwise you will keep the list of known problems and not share so that they may not be fixed. Sounds about right! Must be extremely intermittent I banged 50 games and never saw the issue. Maybe JP will have better luck. |

it is possible that he has fixed it in the TWGS 2.08 on up .. I havent been doing alot of rebangs on those because my actual player base is on a TWGS 2.07 system. I just built the new box and am testing things for the TWGS 2.13 starting with the clock thing to see how the server responds to that (later today) I'll post results on the matter .. if you want to know ... I'll stick up for Vid here, I've known him for a LONG time and Vid has the best interest of the game at heart. Some players feel they aren't heard and choose to get obstinate about it, but Did is here trying to resolve game issues. He's not only a good player he's a great sysop that predates most of us. Let's listen and not get smart with him. |

Yeah, Vid's always been one of my favorite ops. He's been actively helping me with bugs and such forever. We don't always agree on features and fixes, but he's been a very positive influence on the game. Looking at bigbang code, I can see where StarDock might not start at max capacity. It only sets it to half capacity and then expects it to regen itself. If port regen is slow, it might not hit max. I could just set it to max immediately. Not sure why it starts at half capacity. |

So, I'm looking at the invincible special ports option. What would be better, allowing players to attack these ports and take damage even though they'll never succeed in destroying it, or just not allowing players to attack the port at all, with a warning saying Feds won't allow it or whatever? |

I think the latter - they cannot attack, so don't waste your assets. |

It can keep them guessing if it's invinciable, or not. |

This is not a personal attack, I was responding to his statement (see above). All bugs should be reported or they will never get fixed. I reported what I thought was a bug, JP disagreed. No big deal I noted it for future abuse and moved on |

No big deal I noted it for future abuse and moved on Vote for RP! Ok, now you know why I'm not a polititian. Wasn't wanting to step on your toes T0yman, just didn't want to see another heated debate about JP listening to players concerns, or if he's fixing or breaking the game. I wasn't present for most of the argument, but already tired of it. I agree that JP needs to be made aware of problems if we expect them to be fixed. I also agree on Vid's part that if he's not feeling heard, why waste your breath. I know for a fact Vid doesn't really like posting (read typing) and for him to be here posting messages is a great plus. Maybe someday we can all have a Skype session and discuss this person to person. |

I decided to base the invincible port attacks on attacking a Fed. It looks like you can attack them, but you're advised not to. If you go ahead and do it, you wish you hadn't. |
