had 999,999,999 on me to get my commission since I could not twarp. I had 1 exp and 1 alignment before doing so.

I paid out 49,999,999 in taxes and recieved no credit towards my alignment.

Also, this game was banged before 2.16.

I'm not sure. It's foreign to me. Press 2 for Spanish :)

Wow I had forgotten about that bug. It's been around for a while. I can't remember for sure where the cutoff is but if I recall tax on 900 mil still gives the alignment boost. I think it's when the potential alignment boost goes over 32k that it stops working. Possibly an integer overflow in the calculation?

It's actually not a bug. I'm not saying whether it's good design, but it's clearly intended. There's a test for TAX/1500 < 32000, and if it's true, you get alignment, and if it's not, you just get that friendly "thanks". The amount you paid is just over that threshold.

Out of curiosity, I went back to my v2 codebase, from which I started the v3 work, and that code is there. So it's been like this since before v3, and is probably original v2 logic.

Well.... ummmm... errrrr... FINE! lol

That is really interesting to know though. I was chatting with a few others and they thought it was a bug. Ya learn something new everyday :)

Yes , comet .. I tested the 99,999,999 credit and dropped as you said and no alienment gain.

This would only be a bug if you were on a mixed corp and you were the blue and not want your alienment to sore over 1500 as you would have not wanted ..

Your oponents would be bumbed to hear you didn't jump in alienment and hose your corp.

If it worked as I would think intened .. that is exactly what would have happened ..

You were lucky.

I bet it was a bug that got fixed and then changed back... lol
