Right now the Aliens are leaving the bulk of their figs in the sector, which makes invading their planets very easy with photons on.

In the Alien Race editor we have all sorts of settings for types of ships, when they spawn and how many will be available... etc.

But no setting to tell them how to manage their resources.

It would be nice if we could tell them to keep x% of figs on their planet(s), and the rest in ships and deployed in the sector.

I put this post in the TWGS Beta forum because I believe this will be a refinement of the current behavior, and not a "feature" for future releases. I know this is something Vid has requested in the past as well.

But, it will require a new toggle....

I had pointed this out earlier to J.P. and suggested that the old matrix be applied to the aliens so they leave all figs the sysop puts on planet beyond the generated figs the game starts with and then the server can drop 50k plus whatever the system desired.
Not asking for any toggles or tedit intervention .. just the fix.
Also noticed that aliens can land on player planet even with player in orbit over them.
Player v.s. player .. player can not land , so why can the alien ?

Those were the only 2 things I found while testing wrong with the alien matrix , so far.
Even on the beta.
I did give John a list of my beta test findings , what was needing looking into , but it will take time for next upgrade .. then another round of testing before the release will be available.

Yes, this is an issue and Vid has been waiting for me to address it for awhile now. I intend to do a Gold alien update after I get the current release out to everyone (Cruncher and Thrawn are the only two running it right now).
