This is not an area to debate the pros and cons of proposed features. It is an area for people to suggest new features for either TW or TWGS. I will either add the proposed feature to my planned features list, or explain my reasons for passing on the feature at this time. Features added to the list can be voted on so I can gauge people's interest.

Unread post Would like to set Type of Twarp a ship could use.
Wonder if we could get a flag that would limit a ships ability to use the type of Twarp.

From:
None
All

To

None
Only Type 1
Only Type 2
Type 1 & 2

This would make some custom ships more unique.

Hmm, I didn't realise it was just a yes/no thing for TWarp drives. Probably should have supported None/TWarp1/TWarp1+TWarp2.

J.P. you need to get out and play more. :lol:
Another thing , is scanners .. only the pod can start with density .. no other ship has one till you buy it.
This too would be a nice flag as well.

I could add a group of settings to allow certain ships to have certain hardware when they're purchased.

In so many games you can't make it to SD unless you get on the game right after rebang because you can't scan as you move to SD. Others have made it there first and a trap has been set up for all new players into the game. Why is it stardock has so much more than mother terra or her port? You can buy holds, fighters, and shields only. What about a long range scanner? Throw us a bone here lol.

Yeah, it is imposiable to get to stardock without a scanner, and what is up with the rule that you can't tow a corp member from fedspace?

I don't know. I didn't write it ;)

The issue with being able to reach SD is another side-effect of the game going interactive. When the game was one-at-a-time, this wasn't a major issue.

So, the rule is you can't tow anyone out of FedSpace. There has never been an exception for towing corpmates. Seems reasonable that there could be.

Scanner option is nice. If you change the towing option that might open up a whole new can of worms. IMHO

I wouldn't want to change a long standing rule. It was just an anoyance that I couldn't use Twarp to get my corpie past the fedspace blockade.

True, there have been a lot of bugs over the years related to towing people. Probably still are as far as I know.
