This is not an area to debate the pros and cons of proposed features. It is an area for people to suggest new features for either TW or TWGS. I will either add the proposed feature to my planned features list, or explain my reasons for passing on the feature at this time. Features added to the list can be voted on so I can gauge people's interest.

If you had asked me last year , I would have said it would be nice for J.P. to add this ansi to the ANSI folder for Gold Planets and Ships.

But since I've added this to all my TWA's on my server and Helix is doing it for all TWA's he is checking and posting for the public.

I see no reason that J.P. should have to do anything more for those screens.
Maybe let your local SysOp run the script to repair and archive those special edits.

Then all edits can be this nice.

Otherwise , to figure out if a ship has a guardian , you need to make ship personal and put a personal planet above it and get in that ship & drop corp to begin testing.

my 2¢

Let me be sure I understand what would be the least disruptive. Can I add a block of additional info fields either before or after the standard info fields?

Add it wherever the standard ANSI descriptions appear now, and it shouldn't affect anything. If it does, the scripts are already broken.

Many scripts use a trigger/pause execution before moving to the next trigger. This is acceptable if the format/layout never changes (which it didn't for a very long time). There is a better way to do the triggers if the writer uses it.

So your saying there are only 2 Sysops on the planet, and they are both running the script so let's call it good. LOL

People change ships in edits all the time and not everyone has the time to run such a script (or remember) to keep up with all the changes. This would require "NO" effort on the sysop and allow for tweaking of games. Sorry you disagree since you modified a script to do it for you.

Scripts can do a lot of things but if a script can be incorporated into the core product and it provides a positive for the players, and the programmer agrees sounds like a winner.

Yeah, I agree. This is a prime candidate for incorporating a popular 3rd party feature directly into the game. I'm sorry you put a lot of work into those edits, but I agree that it would be very beneficial to have this part of the game.
