I realize that this is a no brainer but thought I would suggest it anyway. We really need a way to find games. I have been wanting to get in a game but the only way I have to find one is telnet to each server and look in the game settings. Obviously, you can look in the rebangs section of the forum but that isn't very detailed nor does it absolutely list every rebang. We keep hearing about player loss and not being able to get new players. Well, if there isn't a good place to find open games how is anyone supposed to play? The technology is already there. Micro's website is exactly what is needed. Although, people who want to play the game shouldn't have to depend on a third party to show them the available games nor should the third party be responsible for providing that information. Can something like Micro's website not be implemented on the same server that hosts this forum to maximize up time? I don't know. Maybe that isn't possible. But, I do know this would be a huge asset to the TradeWars community and its ability to have a future. |

Micro runs a server that tracks games. http://www.microblaster.net/Servers.aspx |

We also have Jumpgate. http://wiki.classictw.com/index.php?title=Jumpgate_-_All Everyone running a public server who wants to attract players can be listed on Jumpgate. It's not organized like Micro's site, but this is a part of ClassicTW, so as long as ClassicTW is supported, Jumpgate will be there. |

I think the point was to have micros server incorporated as part of the JumpGate. Where TWGS v1 or 2 SysOps can sign up there server regardless of the version type. We need to have a central place to find games if TradeWars is to stay public. Maybe on next updates (J.P.) Vid |

T0yman wrote: Yeah but it doesn't get updated reliably. I think that was OP's point- I think he was trying to say it in a way that wasn't insulting to Micro, since the latter is after all doing it for free. |

Yeah and it is neat and all but like i said in my post you still have to connect to all those servers to find out what games they are running.
