A Subzero Christmas tournament will commence on Friday, 18th of December at 8pm. The rules are as follows:

1) No Duping
2) No Megacorping
3) No ship buyouts

I have left products on the planets so there will not be a rule against planet buyouts. That's just going to have to be part of the tournament and you are going to have to find a work around if it happens.

There will be a 20 death limit (Deaths only), I have allowed for players to enter 35 days after todays date. which means that they should be able to enter up to 7 days after the tournament begins.

The basic settings are as follows (the TWA I have uploaded does not have all of these so you may need to adjust them. They have been adjusted in the practice game.

1) 3000 turns
2) 20000 Sectors
3) 24,000 colo regen rate on terra
4) 1,000,000 max cols on terra

I do not have any conditions for victory except to take out the other teams. This game will run until there is a clear winner or all involved decide its a stale mate. I do not have time to babysit this tournament, or count numbers to decide the winner. I will try to post updates as the tournament progressess, but no guarantee will be made.

If I forgot anythings please let me know.

Plant limit will be increased to max for the tournament.

Good Luck

Glad to see this tournament running again. I played in it last year and it was a lot of fun!

I suggest winning condition as 19989 sectors figged and either remove the death limit or make it higher like 50.

When it comes time to throw down you don't want players being able to make any excuses for not bringing it.

How about the death limit, and some other settings, remain a surprise until the tournament opens?

Let's make this one interesting instead of being played to death beforehand in practices. : )

Latency and ship movement both set to 50.

It has come to my attention that the practice game and TWA have plant max set to 4,000. I will be adjusting this to the max 8,000 for the tournament.

I don't mind the idea if you have 99% of grid, you win instantly. However, that's probably a more generic discussion.

You planning on playing?

Maybe not for this tournament, but I'm really into this idea. Maybe some guidelines on what a tournament is going to be like, then you turn up, and find out.

i.e. It's low turn, team cashing, or higher turn blue orientated, or Moo game etc. HHT should 100% be like this lol

Maybe release settings 30 minutes beforehand. Once again, not for this one, and sorry for continuing a derail.

SB: Settings, whatever you think, if we play, I'll just live by whatever you say.

Good plan. We could call it the Blindwarp Tournament.

Unfortunately I just don't have any time. I think I "played" HHT a total of 5 minutes.

Can I get confirmation if anyone is playing this?

To say I'm busy is an understatement but TradeWars while being a terrible time suck gives me something to look forward to other than just working/caring for kids.

So, that being said, I need to work out if I need to organise a baby sitter for a couple of hours Saturday morning or not :)

Probably also need to organise a team.. but I'm sure that part will be ok one way or the other.

I'm officially out. No time, no baby sitter and more family commitments I can't get out off on opening day.

Sister just rang to be put the nail in the coffin on this one. Saturday morning starts just before Xmas are a bit tough when your a single Dad. Not to mention everyone in your family thinks your sitting around with nothing to do!!
