Having been thru similar situations, Id say one month is a government estimate. Which means it will take 2.

Im sure she's fine. They dont have power or anything and wont for months. Just keep these things in your thoughts and prayers and im sure we'll see her sooner than later.

Several others are trying to contact Steel Magnolia or at least get latest word. She lives in Gulfport Mississippi and before the hurricane was in hospital with unrelated problem and they had decided to keep her there until after the storm blew through.

Also, to add, another N'awlins resident is Razzle, I don't know if anyone knows him or has played against him, but he's a good person and here's hoping that he's safe.

It seems as if those that survived the weather now have to go onto endure the political blame games that are occuring over this outlandish tragedy. Even the NAACP is joining in claiming racism. Where does the line get drawn and does it ever stop?

I have not been keeping up on the news that last few days, meanwhile assuming that these agencies have already been called upon to prep and respond. Wow, that was a serious mistake on my part. I was very disheartened to find that the Red Cross, National Guard, and Salvation Army are just now today starting to arrive and assist. FEMA just arrived sometime yesterday. Meanwhile, Homeland Security is holding press conferences saying they are pleased and happy with their response to this situation, thereby sounding like complete jackasses! Way to go Director, you are the idiol of other Counties whom holds idealistic views as to our Counties arrogance and insolence. Keep tugging on Bush's tailcoat you complete Butt of a person!

I give kudos to Mayor Ray Nagin, I have personally never heard a politician step-up like that and call down the thunder the way he has.

I just got a message from Illusion that he was on phone with Maggie...she is home and doing as well as can be expected with all the damage in Gulfport...lost windows but kept roof and was above the flood surge crest so has her home... She can fill everyone in herself when she gets back online.

Altogether when I see how much devastation happened in the coastal states throughout an area larger than Britain it puts things into perspective in my own life. I might hit a bump in the road and complain until it becomes clear how many others had their roads washed entirely away! Hoping to see maggie back here soon..just thought I'd let everyone know current status....
