SWATH freezing on Windows 7 Pro
The last couple of days Swath is freezing up and non-responsive on Windows 7 Pro. If you check the task manager the CPU is pegged at 50% for the app.
Anyone else see this? I changed compatibility to Windows XP sp3 but that didnt help

Re: SWATH freezing on Windows 7 Pro
I did a while back until I switched to the newest version of Swath. Normally the only lock ups I have seen is a TWX script getting caught in a loop.

Re: SWATH freezing on Windows 7 Pro
Hasn't happened to me, and I run SWATH under Parallels on a Mac. I do have severe issues with TWGS itself though... couldn't run a server...

Re: SWATH freezing on Windows 7 Pro
Turned out to be a corrupt data file, it was freezing on save.

Re: SWATH freezing on Windows 7 Pro
I'm running into almost the same issue, but Swath slows down says that it is not responding and then kicks in again after about 5-10 seconds. Even when I am just logging on it is doing this. I'm also using Windows 7 Home Premium. Anyone have any ideas why this is?
Thanks!

Re: SWATH freezing on Windows 7 Pro
So my issue seems to be with Java for some reason, when it is installed, swath runs very slow, but when I uninstall it, it runs just fine. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to fix this?
Thanks!

Thanks! What JDK are you using? I recommend updating to the latest JDK7. Solved a lot of issues for me. I have 7 Home Premium, SP1 and I haven't had any issues with Swath directly.

Thanks! Try uninstalling all older versions of Java, as the Sun/Oracle Java updater usually just installs new versions and keeps old ones. Most likely your Java engine is set to an older JRE or JDK in SWATH. Try changing the script options to move the JVM or whatever to the path the most recent Java install is located "C:\Program Files\Java\JRE6\" or whatever "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\JRE6\" if you have a 64 bit Windows system. Replace the JRE6 with whatever you got from installing Java. JRE is Java Run Time, and JDK is the Java Development Kit. With the JDK you can compile *.class scripts. Possibly you need to recompile your class scripts into *.java scripts to fix that problem. If it doesn't work, try contacting the script writer for an update if someone else wrote the script as there may be an issue with the new Java.
