I would like to make my stance clear so that instead of over reacting like Loc so elegantly did, we can meet eye to eye on my actions.

Loc posted a possibly offensive video in a thread labeled Merry christmas. A member PM'd me to flag it as offensive for that particular thread. I probably saw the first 45seconds of it and after the foul language decided to move the thread until I could clear it up with Loc.

I PM'd Loc and the member, at which point Loc decided to go on his rant. At no point did Loc suggest or ask what we could do so he could get his stance across. I made it very clear his posted video was OUT OF PLACE. It should have not been posted in that thread. Period.

I do however agree that if one member can talk about the holiday at hand, that other members can express their beliefs in a civil manner. EVEN if it does not agree with others on the forum. Free Speech is something we take for granted sometimes, and use out of context.

I then reposted Loc's video in his own thread after watching a majority of it. I never once said he could not express his beliefs. Never once said that only one belief can voice their opinion. At no point did JP "puppeteer" me throughout the process. Acting the way he did got him banned by JP, I was willing to forgive him because I know how Loc can be. He paved his road. Period.

Im flexable, but you have to be reasonable.

You know, the world is a public place. I watched the video. I liked it. It was someone voicing his opinion, an opinion he has a right too. Each time you bend to one persons will because they don't like something, then you help them push their agenda ahead.

Instead, tell the little weenie if he doesn't like it to not view the god damned thing.

You, as a moderator, need to make better use of your time. Responding to nonsense crap like the mommy statement and this video only sets you up as someone they see as moldable. Now, they will try and mold you in their image to push their idealism onto everyone else every chance they get.

The best way to deal with dingbats like Loc is to just ignore him. If he doesn't like me saying that, then he can deal with me directly. I'll be glad to put him in his place for you. This is a game forum, not a god damned Pope's pulpit.

The only thing I request is if your going to post a video or link atleast let the potential clickers know what it is. As a courtousy atleast. It doesn't have to be a full description but atleast warn someone so they don't get baited into clicking something that might offend them.

I never opposed what the guy said in his video. I did however look at it from a different perspective to see how it could have been offensive where it was placed.

I can fully handle people like Loc. He really isn't a bad guy just gets worked up. He never gave me a second to figure it out instead he went off, which is harmful to your blood pressure. I know how to play the games that were being played lastnight. I can handle that business. Again any complaints can be forwarded to JP.

;)

Iam sorry, Iam an original member of GZ since it started last year , Iam also on the BOTE corp. Iam not banned from this forum? So what "cool" group are you talking about orion? Iam pretty sure that Loc doesnt even have an account at hyper! So this is the useful info that classic forum offers, that hyperspaces doesnt, orion? Good one ROFL

Orion is right. I'd rather just go ahead and ban someone who's clearly out to get banned. Look at all of Loc's posts from the last few days and it's clear. I didn't personally watch the video, and I'm not getting into the debate about whether or not someone has a right to an opinion. That's irrelevant. This has nothing to do with Christmas. What I see is someone who wants to get banned enough to post inflammatory content, basically calling Christians idiots on Christmas. If I didn't ban him, what's next? I don't care to find out.

Easy to find out...Check Membelist at the top of hyperspace... You'll find he's a member... The "Cool" group... um maybe the players going on about JP banning people... I guess I made a generalization about all GZ members....

As for useful info like i said I come here to read useful posts and get my questions answered and Hyperspace is just entertainment not a lot of value to TW...

I'll be the first to say that if someone found my post offensive I'm sorry.
That being said,.. as has already been said, if you don't like Christmas then don't click on the link with that label!
I did not watch the video that was posted in my link. Due to the nature of his post, I didn't figure it was anything I'd want to see, and I simply didn't click the link.
He had his right not to like the Christian aspect of Christmas, and I was aware that not everyone here has the same religious views as I do, and tried to cover that in the post.
We're supposed to be adults here, we have the power of choice. Nobody makes you read every word here, or agree with it.
I did have a nice holiday, and hope every one did as well.
Next year I'm likely going to post something simular at Christmas time. Consider this fair warning, and if you don't like Christmas, please don't open the message.
