This is not an area to debate the pros and cons of proposed features. It is an area for people to suggest new features for either TW or TWGS. I will either add the proposed feature to my planned features list, or explain my reasons for passing on the feature at this time. Features added to the list can be voted on so I can gauge people's interest.

In addition to "Deaths", it would be nice to have "Kills" or "Total Ships/Pods Destroyed" added to the player information. A simple counter is sufficient, but it would also ne nice to have a log of who killed who. I know this is in the deaily log, but it takes to much time to search the log for kills.

In tournaments it's often been asked who killed who, and in what order. Short of combing through the logs there's no easy way to do this.
So I'd love to see this as well.

I know JP has lots of feature requests, so I'll be patient. Perhaps this is a feature that could go into Botlink? a "war log" that could be brought up in game. I'm sure peeps would want to see the results of ship to ship combat, as well as pods exploded both. I know sometimes aliens have taken out players and that would be humorous to see, although I don't know how easy it would be to add that.

It certainly could be done with Botlink. If you're listening for any combat events, you'll know who killed whom and can track it in any way you like. Botlink can be notified of anything that happens in the game, not just the events in one sector or for one player. Of course this feature isn't in yet, but it's definitely core functionality that's on its way.

If it was just a matter of keeping a tally of kills, that would be very easy to add to the game. But adding something that keeps a list of who you killed as well as how many kills would be a much bigger change. So it probably would be better left to an extension.

Yeah, there are so many scenerios to look at, beyond PvP

Sector fig pod/kills
Mine pod/kills
Cannon pod/kills

Then how do we account for CBY's and fusing? That is a pod/kill but you can't give credit to who or what caused the action other than self-inflicted.

I can see where the BotLink can be useful in this record keeping event.

I was hoping for a new field in the player record that would track kills.
