I can't remember if I was able to do this or not...

while doing some minor gridding, is there a certain # of figs or mines that ferrengi or aliens will not enter the sector?

I believe Alien behaviour is determined by how Aggressive or 'Xenophobic' they've been set to in T-Edit.

What you can do if your Aliens are aggressive, is surround and trap them with a high number of fighters. Corralled Aliens will burn off most, if not all, of their Fighters, and then spend eternity bouncing off your Fighters.

Attack them, till they have 0 figs. Don't kill them or they will regenerate, but if you leave them fig-less they will still hit your grid, but they can't take out the figs.

Don't aliens regenerate?

I don't hunt aliens much, but when I do I surround them, burn down their fighters, and start trying to capture their ship because hey! Free ship!

They usually break through one of my toll fighters and suddenly have a small number of fighters and more shields.
