Yes, we are seeing a heavy increase of dupes using proxies in the past few weeks. There was additional hard evidence of duping, but proxies were used to hide their identity. Just this week four players joined the Pirates game I rebanged, and one of them was using a proxy. A few days after joining, he screwed up and logged into the wrong account without the proxy proving which player was duping.



The problem is that I can't easily identify a dupe from a real person. I can't just go banning everyone that is using a Proxy or VSP. You are one of the players that has a legitimate reason for using a VSP, and I know you are a real person, or are you? Just teasing, but I have no way to know you are a real person, but I do know you have a good reputation in the community. This is why we need TW Passport, which is a new feature JP was working on when he got the job with RSI.

Wouldn't an easy solution to duping be limit corp size to 1?

I limited my game to 2 player corps and said bring a dupe if you want.

I'm thinking of adding "Tradewars career record vs. Helix: 10+ to 0 (undefeated)". Would that be considered smack talk, or does the same rule apply here as does in the legal system, e.g. a statement cannot be considered libel if it is the truth?

(I say 10+ because I can't actually remember how many times I've played him, but it is more than 10 and less than 100.)
