Ive come across some reallllyyy great stock while working out my 401k, i'd like to open up an independant stock account where I can be a bit more flexable. Anyone have any tips on a good brokerage website?? I have looked around and for someone who is completely new to this idea its a bit confusing.

Thanks!

Be careful about tips. I've been trading for years and most are no better than a coin toss.

With that said, I use thinkorswim and etrade. I also highly (HIGHLY) recommend some technical analysis books. Marber on Markets, Pring on Price Patterns, a handful of others too. Being able to read a trend and follow basic strategy is what makes money, not trying to find a "great stock."

If you have any questions, ICQ me.
