Maybe its just me... I've always been a "Multitasker" even before the term was popular, lol. That said, I've noticed that since I have come back into the game again that I'm playing only ONE game at a time.... something i've never done before and getting a stunning result, much better attention paid to the game and doing a LOT better than usual, lol.

Might be silly to some but I thought i'd put it out there. Its great to not have to try and remember SOOO many things that have to be done in SOOO many games. I tell ya, getting older has a way of making you put things in perspective, even down to silly stuff like time spent "gaming".
:D

It's not just you. There were days where I used to play several games at a time. It got to the point where I ended up using the wrong database for a game on my SWATH helper.

I cut back on my game playing to 1-2 games (1 serious game and perhaps 1 game to muck around in for shits and giggles and to test scripts against hoomans - lol.)

I have not played in about a year and a half or so. My last game was over at the Ice server. I got burned out from the 24/7 aspect of the game that I stopped playing it since. I remember the old days where I used to run my turns, set my defenses, log out, and hope for the best. Not anymore.

I no longer have a permanent internet connection at home so I could not play again anyways even if I wanted to. I currently have my cell phone tethered to my laptop and living in a weak signal area so I'm basically at dial up speed. I go into town to use the wifi if I want to do things like youtube.

Tradewars certainly has changed since I started playing in back in 97 or so.

If you ever get a connection again, try my server.

I put it up last summer, don't know if you've seen it yet.

I run all '90's style games, all stock 5k universes, short time and low turn limits.

I'm also using some of the new delay settings to slow planet movement and have the photons on on a delay as well, so as to discourage using planets as deadly weapons. ;)

Ferrengi are heavily armed, to keep player grids down.

Check it out when you have time & connection. Good to see you back!

Thanks. But I doubt I'll return to the game any day soon though I might help with some beta testing on my local machine once I download V2, get the latest helpers and scripts that works with win7 and go from there.

I'll take a look at the win7 thread as I understand not all helpers or scripts work on win7.
