Someone is butthurt and it isn't Lonestar.

Probably should write your own scripts Cruncher so as to understand the mechanics of Gridding, along the same lines as understanding the dynamics of the game. Both things, if memory serves you love to talk about at an expert level while only having a marginal understanding.

BTW still waiting on that throng of users coming back after the 2.0 implementations you spearheaded. Thanks again for the inconsistent delays and other improvements to the game.

:-)

Easy come, easy go. Thanks for helping us debug the gridder, it's running fine tonight.

Pretty serious bug you got there: running a gridder and going AFK. Good luck with that!

While all hopes of winning this game may have been lost that night, you guys had the opportunity to shut us out and definitively win the game yourselves that night as well, but instead your corp used all it's pod mothing a planet, when you had none to spare. With my entire corp #SD# it would have been very easy to haz/mine around fed, leave a player in each MSL exit running their IG. But no, your team rather than opt to win, you choose to use your last pods to moth.

It's your fault you haven't won yet.

So, for us right now, it's not about the win, but about testing our scripts against some very skilled competition. Our gridder podding you guys 4 times last night was pretty sweet, you must admit. :)

The "throng" is here... last count over 350 unique IP's logging onto my server. Not a week goes by when someone will take the time to thank me for hosting classic games with settings to discourage or disable the most aggressive scripts.

I may not write TWX scripts, but I do have input in their development.

Yes it was sweet. How much ore did you lose? and why did you stop gridding?

Do you have 350 people playing on your server?
If not, then there is no throng.
I can get 350 unique IPs logging into my FTP server if I allow anonymous logons too.

I gotta say that I find this thread delightful, and in the very best traditions of the game. I had almost despaired of my fellows, and its really great to see back and forth smack, but especially to see stalwarts resurfacing to sling mud after the mandatory lurk period, the while declaiming total lack of interest and declaring "am never coming back".

Never say never!

Only 2 that I know of, both mine. You'd have to verify with the "operator".

Ore was great! We only went through 1M units. We stopped because we were out of turns. I got photoned twice, but then I go on saveme duty until top of hour, then out front again. We cashed everyone's turns down before starting.

Plus, we had to get to sleep, R/L work in the AM ya know. ;)

I would love for you to quantify unique in a dynamically assigned world. Were you able to verify each IP was static with thier ISP?

Do you have 350 users online at once or even better 350 unique players on your server?

For clarification purposes you have user input into script design which IMHO doesn't qualify you to being an authoratative figure of the twx/game mechanics.

I wish you would focus on what you're good at; bring JP back from the abyss that is his perpetual DGAF'ness and lack of follow-through.

I understand real life, but real life isn't vaporware and that's what this perpetual beta 2.0 is at this point. That's also what the buggy revision of 1.0 was. But at least with 1.0 there was a vibrant community and we could work around the bugs.

Personally I blame you for the above 2.0 mess. Your Jihad on 1.0 fanatics and the current state of the game when you decided to come out of retirement ran allot of qualified and dedicated players away; including myself.

Your uneducated, opinionated and lastly unwarranted statements about how great the game would be if we only made it easier for you (given you didn't even know how to use TWX at the time) caught the only real time JP has ever given to this game in the last decade.

So congrats Cruncher, you single handily killed what was left of TW and you're a poor sport to boot.

It isn't over, because you let them back in the game. You should have locked them out when you had the chance.
