Re: What you love about TW
It was the late 80's early 90's first time I played seriously.
What I loved.
Multiplayer game, even if only one person could access the door at a time.
Always felt like you never really knew what was in the next sector, or the sector over from it, or what you will find next. Then when you found a trading pair of ports, was like finding gold. Always looking for that pair of ports or the perfect dead end to build in.
You had to plan out your turns to ensure you got everything done before running out.
The what if, when you signed out for the night. Will my cloak hold, will someone find me, or my base.
Killer ANSI graphics, at that time on BBS at 2400k they were good.
I remember some games it was all about finding Ferengi. Some games about building strong bases until the sysop would kick us for taking over the game.
It was also about friendship, I had buddies that would play we meet and plan out what we were going to do when we got a chance to log in.
I find that most of the above brought me back in the early 2000's.
