Just wanted to say hi. I was thinking of the insane bit of anachronism that is TW, and somehow ended up here. I used to play under the name Typhoon. I don't keep in touch with anyone from this community, but I do hope all you guys are doing well. This holds doubly true if we hung out or were otherwise sympatico ;) On a less nostalgic note, can anyone tell me what the most active TW sites are these days? That is, assuming there are any... :P If games are still being held, what is the general format like? Is there a particular custom mod that's popular? Are unlims still all the rage? Are there any well attended casual games? What are the most popular helpers? Waffles or Pancakes? |

Welcome back to the addiction that is TW! I've reset some games on my server, set to open tonight. Casual, classic games. I have settings in place that help returning players get reaquainted with the game without having to worry about playing against aggressive AFK script players (bots). Beware however, I do have some pretty skilled players, so you should have a good time. Most players use Swath, or a combination of Swath/TWXProxy/Mombot Some old school players still play with their own Telix scripts While others use Zoc. Fire-up whichever telnet client you're most comfortable with and have some fun! I choose waffles! |

Yes, every post has to be approved until your account becomes authorized by an administrator. |

I still have it, I check it mebbe every year out of curiousity. 2 contacts still show green now, rest grey, all ex TW players. Havent sent/recd a message half a dozen years or more. |
