I've been making ANSI text files for custom ships in my game. I would like to hear what you use and maybe I could get steered towards a good one. I have tried PabloDraw, but while it has a great UI it is adding garbage to the end of my ANSI files (called SAUCE data - basically a label for the author, time and date, etc.) so I don't like that. It's screwing up how the ship data looks when you look it up in game. I also tried TheDraw, but for whatever dumb reason it won't save ANSI files with less than 23 rows (lines of data). So I can save my ANSI files in that and remove the SAUCE data from PabloDraw, but then when you look up that ship in game, it spews out 7 or 8 blank lines after it. I've looked on Sourceforge.net for one and I'm shocked they don't have a ANSI editor. Sourceforge usually has a freeware version of anything. If you have an ANSI editor that lets you make .ans files that play well with telnet please let me know. |

I did figure out that after making an ANSI file in PabloDraw you can open that file up in Wordpad and delete the last line in the file to remove the SAUCE information. Doing it this way isn't a big deal and Pablo is the easiest to use ANSI editor I have found, so I'm happy with it now. |

Yeah, it seems that "Sauce" line is added only with the latest version of PabloDraw. Star Killer is the one who told me about it. Only a few of my latest edits had it. |
