 New ideas for occasional play

Idea 1 - I have an idea for creating a sort of "turn bank" as an extension to the web application I currently use to run my closed games. The basic premise is that players could log on to the website to deposit and withdraw turns. So if you wanted to play only 1 day a week, you could play 1 week's worth of turns all on 1 day, then not worry about the game until the next week.

Idea 2 - I've also considered running a TWGS with intentionally less than 24/7 uptime. Perhaps it would only run during evening hours, or maybe only on weekends. I'm pretty sure this could be scheduled very easily with the windows AT scheduler - to disable and enable TWGS on a set schedule.

These ideas are relatively simple, and the programming involved in either of them wouldn't be difficult. However, before I dive in, I wanted to see if anyone out there is even interested in something like this. Please reply here or in private if you prefer.

Great topic, I think 3 or 4 two hour windows to encourge ONLINE COMBAT would be great, also allow others to defend at keys more readily.

Extern once a week !
Closed game systems.
Logs are great too.
Also HIGHER TURN GAMES.

I'd love to play a game just like I described above.

BTW Ck your site and server rock.
Coldfusion eh :)

YEs, Finally, I played a game that put you in a starport before you entered the game and one of the things that could be done, was turn deposit or withdrawl.

Cool ideas all you can do is try it and see what shakes out...

great idea's. It would be great if you could let your turns build up. Im not around on weekends at all in the summer and find playing tw very hard with the limited time I have so if I didnt play for a week then had a day that I had time to play and get caught up that would be very cool.
