Is there any advantage to chainging your name when you are evil? I was wondering if this would clear my busts or not. Also, is SST or SDT a better money maker? I have read that SDT is one of the best however when I try it I don't make as much if I was sst. I am only trading in freighters so that might be part of the problem (currently I have over 7000 exp, however the game ended today so I am starting fresh tomorrow). Is there a better way to make loads of money being evil?

You'll want to check the planetary trade % in the settings menu. If it isn't 100% and you're working alone, I'd suggest ssting. With either one you're going to want to use the ships with the most holds you can, as it means you'll make more money/turn. Normally if I am sdting by myself, I try to do 8 steals/port before I sell back. If I'm with another red, I will bump that to 10-12. SDT costs you 2 turns/port, one to xport in, one to steal (and 1/8 to sell back if you do 8 times before a negotiate). SST is 3 turns/port. One to xport in, one to sell product, one to steal it back. Also, with sdt you'll want to use the same ports every day especially if the port regen rate is < 100% because you won't have to upgrade the port as much initially. There will be some product left on it from the previous day. I hope this answers your question.

I have found that if you change your name while your evil its still not hard to tell your the same player. Especially if you are corp CEO or even a corp member. Name changes, no message in the log of player leaving or joining corp = same player. Or new player name, approximately same exp and alignment as old player = same player also.

If you change your name as a red, do the bounties on you under your old name change too?

No it doesn't , all bounties follow the Player #'s name.
So changing it will effect those bounties posted.
What the Ship Name Change does is makes it harder if a player Grimmies You at the Star Dock Tavern.
This is WHY it's a good reason to rename ship before sleeping or have a different named ship to sleep in.
hope this helps.

Yes, they follow you through name changes.

Yes, Grimey keeps track. Used to be easier to use, but you can still use him.

It is my understanding that the grimy trader goes by ship name still. However, I haven't done a lot of testing with this. The best move is to just put fighters down in every sector you go through. If you have a fighter down, the grimy can't find you.
