OK...so I'm in this game. It matters not where. I stayed up all night, my corpies and I stageing a fairly successful invasion. And then I go to class for an hour and come back..the invaded corp is doin' some stuff...taking back some planets we left. So decide to be a smart guy and go stop them. And this is from a guy who half an hour ago could barely find his way to the same room he's been going to for a semester already. And I #SD# myself. Yes I manage to kill myself. I podded myself twice. What makes this REALLY suck is that I managed to get 2 L6 planets left in my wake. Now I have this horrible gnawing feeling in the pit of my stomach and it won't go away and I'm mildly depressed over it. I'm supposed to be a better player than this. Am I now going to be upstaged by my obvious inferiors because of my stupidity and lack of sleep etc etc? Anyone out there have a story to tell about a time they F***ED up worse than they ever imagined they could? I'm gonna go sleep now. This S**T sucks.

They make medication for that....

Thanks for the advice strider. I'm not like chlinically depressed. I'm just very disappointed that I could manage to do something so dumb. I chalk it up to lack of sleep and being tired of the game. I mean...it is an unlimted that is kinda old. I just want it to be over...but in my favor, of course.

Heh, one LoTR game I made the mistake of going to the Star Dock with 1.5M on me while Grazhoppa was online. He was hitting our grid figs so I figured he was out looking for us. We had plenty of figs and just needed an extra ship in case of combat. I was Fed Commisioned but way over 1000 exp. So I twarped to the Star Dock, and guess who also was at the Star Dock and outfigged me? Graz was there with about 3 times the figs I had. I knew that he must have saw me, so somehow I hit a navpoint by mistake trying to do something else like dock with the stardock or twarp back out and then started to hit his toll figs. For some reason my TWHelper did not have pay tolls or kill figs set on, so I had to do it by hand. I was too slow and before I knew it I saw my ship in the same sector as me, owned by Graz's corp, with Graz in the sector. Somehow I managed to avoid his sector figs and got back to my base. There was a ship there but my corpmate made it personal and I was locked out of it. Double D'oh!

Lesson learned from this whole thing: "Don't got to the Star Dock when Graz is online!" Or better yet, don't go to the Star Dock unless FedSafe and comisioned or nobody else is online that can pod you.

Everyone who has ever played for any length of time has done some really dumb things. I lost my corp the last HHT by leaving a TWX running which conflicted with my planet flee script. So when the enemy found our King planet with very few figs on it, instead of warping it to a new location, it just sat there for them to easily invade. doh!

this one time, i was partyin at someones house.. i dunno whos house it was but oh well.. and im gettin heavy into the whiskey and i pick up this chic, take her home and whatever... i wake up and its a dude. anyway i have been going to counseling since this happened.

Well I am planet trading with this new L5 planet, its getting close to xturn/mid. A game they came at the same time 2:00am my time. Well I am thinking I dont want to get caught overloading a sect planet trading. hmm what to do while i wait. Heh I will buy sheilds at Rylos.
<sigh> Yea you guessed it It went to level 2. Good thing is we had 10 more level 5's but I still felt stupid.

Before I knew better I took a planet to a sector off fed in the line to dock so I could get the guys waiting at the menu.xturn ran and you know it,Zap to L2.I had like lots of colonists and ore on it too.

Or mothing a sector and forgetting to grab figs and getting sd.Thats just great.

Well I did get podded quite a few times running ATTAC scripts that did not holoscan some of the times and I hit offensive sector figs. This was during exploring, WorldSSM, and World Trade scripts.

One time I was in a high turn game, classic stock ships, I just bought a Cargotran and someone got online and placed 5000 off figs off the Star Dock and I ran into them. Ouch! I scanned before and they were not there, as soon as I moved to the sector there they were with the other player in the sector.
