Unread post Current Links, Sites & Other Info (June 2019)
Hello all,

Recently started playing again, and ended up here while searching for the latest and greatest on the game. Although I did eventually find most of what I was looking for (thank you all who have responded to my posts!) I did have to do a bit of digging. I thought I'd put together a quick "master list" of all the working sites I could find so that the next returnees who happen along have an easier time finding the material.

Thanks to all who have replied to my posts and provided this information. This list is current as of June 2019, and all links are operational at the time I posted this. Any errors or typos are solely due to Ferrengi sabotage.

Trade Wars Assistant (twassist) is an offline TW database, with an excellent fast ZTM, graphic mapper and bubble/DE finder. PPT and XXB pairs (edit:with status after latest CIM) by distance from a sector, by distance from nearest fig if you have twarp, graphic routemap display, lots of other good stuff. Can be found at: ... ingersich/

- This site was mainly devoted to the twassist author's obsession with "whippets", some sort of hunting dog. Need to scroll to the bottom to get the twassist download link, its an aside.

1.Will not work past Vista, even at that, the graphics are not great past W98, but using DOSBOX, works fine W7, inc. graphics.
2.Only good up to 5K sectors.
3.The TWGS CIM syntax is slightly different from HVS, needs parsing - if a course plot is more than one line, TWGS inserts a leading space on following lines, remove by script or editpad.

KOKUA was another offline helper, no restrictions on number of sectors. Graphic mapper, ZTM, etc. , not familiar with it. Its referenced here:

EDIT: Attachment is a typical TWAssist map, dotted are unexplored and from ZTM
