Re: Current Links, Sites & Other Info (June 2019)
Trade Wars Assistant (twassist) is an offline TW database, with an excellent fast ZTM, graphic mapper and bubble/DE finder. PPT and XXB pairs (edit:with status after latest CIM) by distance from a sector, by distance from nearest fig if you have twarp, graphic routemap display, lots of other good stuff. Can be found at:
http://web.archive.org/web/200503060828 ... ingersich/- This site was mainly devoted to the twassist author's obsession with "whippets", some sort of hunting dog. Need to scroll to the bottom to get the twassist download link, its an aside.
Downsides:
1.Will not work past Vista, even at that, the graphics are not great past W98, but using DOSBOX, works fine W7, inc. graphics.
2.Only good up to 5K sectors.
3.The TWGS CIM syntax is slightly different from HVS, needs parsing - if a course plot is more than one line, TWGS inserts a leading space on following lines, remove by script or editpad.
KOKUA was another offline helper, no restrictions on number of sectors. Graphic mapper, ZTM, etc. , not familiar with it. Its referenced here:
