Unread post Returning player questions
Does a photon disable the IG on a ship? If so, is it a permanent (until manually turned back on) or just for the duration of the photon wave? The glossary (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=17461) seems to indicate it does but that verbiage is listed under the unlimited turn game section so it's not 100% clear.

Also, I noticed this part in VidKid's rebang announcement (viewtopic.php?f=19&t=34757): "Also I may have set the Planet Product Restriction to On , on planets that come with
product to slow/stop the pimping."

Can someone explain what Planet Product Restriction is?

Thanks.

Photons will turn a ship IG off till manually or script turns it back on.
Works the same in unlim as it does in a turn game.

Planet restriction is a new thing in v2 servers , it allows a SysOp to toggle the feature.
In on mode , it restricts players from taking product off a planet that can be created with product . until it is upgraded.
Although this does not stop the product from being sold to a port without
the planet being upgraded first.

This feature was added to help prevent or stop planet pimping.
Pimping is when you pop planets to stript products to fill another movable planet for either fuel or sell able products.

Hope this helps .. and welcome back.
