Anyone know why that might happpen? Sometimes I'm just playing and for no reason at all, Swath justs drops out.... then i have to disconnect from the server because swath needs you to, to restart. I use ZOC too, and it has NEVER done that. Its a NEW computer to, so i know its not memory related. Other than that Swath is great!

I've been getting that too. I use SWATH, it goes through TWXProxy. It runs for an hour, and then all of a sudden it will disconnect. Or the other one is it hangs at a port. Not too sure why, as I am new to these helpers. Hopefully someone can jump in and share some insight.

Yeah, my Swath runs through TWXProxy too, plus I'm using ZOC. Sometimes it runs for hours on end, then sometimes i get that "Drop".
Its pretty random on mine, hopefully someone can straigten us out.

The only thing I can think of is that problem with the new beta IE, but that would not even let you make a connection until you have installed the 1.8.3 SWATH fix... other then if you are timing out?

You say the "fix" is for Internet Explorer Beta, any other issues you know of? Geeesh! lotta questions today.

I assume IE7b was causing issues in verifing the SWATH reg, that was quick fixed in .3 version. I assume it would work with prior versios of IE just the same. here are the link referring to the issue and the upgrade:

Well first I'm running SWATH 1.8.2

Second, I never run a "beta" of anything [:D]

I was thinking my reason is because I'm a web host, and it's possible I'm getting a packet drop. However, why hang at a port... In any event I work with it and use to it now.

The SWATH 1.8.3 is an .exe fix for problems caused by the new IE7beta2 browser, it is not another upgrade for SWATH, yet. The one that Rexx is talking about is a fix for the IE7beta2 problems with not letting the SWATH program get in touch with the authentication servers to allow SWATH to let you play in games, by saying you are who you say you are. The new IE7 also causes problems with the Morpheus P2P file share system as well. And it also doesn't recognize links for telnet on websites as well, I have been trying to get Microsux to look into the failure to recognize the telnet url's but to no avail, maybe if we all spam them they will be forced to look at it.

Oh for the SWATH to just drop off, it is a common acurance that happens sometimes, prolly cause of a connection issue to the authentication servers. This may be from within SWATH itself or could be an issue with the host of the servers. Who knows?

thanks for that info Vulcan. It does not bother me so much. It happens randomly for me, and usually I am on the keyboard when it happens.

Same here Thrawn, but I don't get to play as much as I like now days tho. Between work, school, and running my server. Maybe I will take time off from school to get a rest and a much needed break, it is hard being a full time employee and full time student too.

I'm having the same problem- I had it with 1.8.2 and 1.8.3, even though I am not running the IE7 beta.
Annoying as heck.

try turning off the auto save option. I've noticed that swath does the same thing when when it's busy processing alot of data (like when gridding), and then tries to autosave.

Also, if I try to save data manually -with the autosave off- after a long time and while Swath's busy with alot screen updates, it does the same thing...
