I played a game or two w/ Mad Maxx. He and his wife, Lilith, were mac users. They hosted a site: http://www.angelfire.com/mac/tradewars/ and used a mac helper... TWScripter... really.

Anyway, I believe the macs that they were talking about in this thread were macros

Sigh. If you accidently run that macro from the command prompt, bad things happen. The world never learns.

And ay gets you stuck on a beacon and dead.

as Sing said... beacon messes u up, always ayy9999^M.... will take out the beacon and attack..
or as a burst for twx... ayy9999* ... gotta remember what helper ur using for the mac/burst... twx is a * for enter where Zoc and I think Swath is ^M for enter... btw... the extra y doesn't affect anything if no beacon there... still works.

U can still make it work though from next sector over:

works good for capping alien ships when they are the best in a game and stronger then you. Or having fun annoying someone's dropper script.

I also use:
c p y 14134^M Q 14134^M L 61^M
for those 1 second ptorps days.

Even a macro can get caught on a 1 second ptorp since you sometimes, from what I understand, have less than the full second. I like to have the full second and that is why I script the attack. Even with the script, I have a second minus ping time to attack.
