Ok,

I've seen this in two games on Crunchers server. She can probably confirm the version of TWGS she has; no doubt the latest as of this posting.

I meant to post this ages ago so no doubt the datafiles are long gone... My bad!!

However in game F one or 2 bangs ago we were getting corp messages from the opposition. Only partial bits of the message and only occasionally. I assume they had the same issue as us. I've attached a screenshot. This screenshot had more than most, sometimes it was just a bit of info.
Interestingly there is a alien fig hit in the middle of the posting, whether that always happens or not I can't confirm.

This also happened in game B the previous bang.

I've not seen it in other games but I've also tried not to use corp messages myself to avoid this "issue".

TW reuses IDs for a lot of things (which vastly complicates things for a helper.)

My experienced bugfixer's hunch: has a corp been deleted from this game? More specifically, was a corp deleted after those messages were sent but before you logged on to receive them?

No, I don't think any corps were deleted from memory. It's not impossible though.

It happened in another game and the most common thing they both have was a high activity of Ferrengi hitting fighters.

Both games were also old, so players being deleted is also not impossible.

It happened 5-6 times in that game from memory. Considering how quiet the games are these days I couldn't' see that many people being deleted over that short a period of time either.

Next time it happens I'll take more notice though. I know other players have mentioned it but just not reported I guess.

She is using TWGS 2.21 , all other servers rolled back to TWGS 2.20b
because of issues with aliens and missing messages in games.

That particular version has more bugs then the v2.20b
although the 2.20b still has bugs , fewer then the ones in 1.03.

But this is not a discussion of comparison , just pointing out that Cruncher is running THE ONLY 2.21 server today.
