 Re: ability to publish game logs to a blogger account.the new blog entries are ready and it is looking good. i rebanged all my games and i am going to have events that show up on the log files end up on the blog. you might notice that i will only play on my server and the servers of those of you guys that play on my server. as a thank you to those who take the time to play on mine. i will do the same for them. (hint hint)

Re: ability to publish game logs to a blogger account. Just thought I would add this also works perfectly on WordPress blogs as well.
The way I'm getting it done is by having a batch file in each game folder that uses your java app to create the log.html file... then a master batch file that calls each of those batch files (Taking a 5 second pause between each one... to give them more than enough time to run)... then I have blat sending the emails (Taking 10 seconds breaks between each sending of email because 1) blat takes longer 2) I want to make sure that the logs get to blog in the same order I'm sending them in.. it takes about 10 seconds for them to appear in my POP3 Inbox), and WordPress takes care of the rest... here's what the batch file looks like. Re: ability to publish game logs to a blogger account. thank you for showing me how to make pauses between emails as i have made the change to my Email.bat file. but just because i wanted to make it possible to post each days logs from a single "generic" batch file, that would be called from TWGS it's self, (since it has an ability to run programs in it's scheduler.) i made only the create logs batch file as a generic file. but i took your batch file for the emailing process as a single batch file that gets run 10 minutes after the create logs batch file is run for each game. and again thank you for your contribution topper. it helps me allot. see you in game.

Re: ability to publish game logs to a blogger account. That "unexpected tilde code" error is mostly harmless. I was able to figure out all the color codes used for ship types by looking at the Gold ship editor. But there's a different type of color code used in other parts of the log messages, and I had to figure those out by looking at the logs and then displaying the logs in the game to see what color they're supposed to be. It looks like ~Z (ASCII 90) is a common one that I missed. Those entries will still show up, but the text will be black on gray. This is one of the things I'm going to fix in the next version.

Re: ability to publish game logs to a blogger account. Could one of you guys post a TWOPENG.DAT in which that unrecognized color code appears? I'm having trouble getting my TWGS to generate it, and I'm getting weird results when I try to edit the codes in my existing log file.

Re: ability to publish game logs to a blogger account. is there a way when someone puts a URL in the Announce that the script will recognize it and make the appropriate URL link HTML code added to the URL of such announcements?
