Unread post m()mbot assistance
I've tried a couple versions of m()mbot on Helix's site without any luck. I get an ARRAY NOT FOUND error when I try to start the primary script - I've tried starting it from the Login Script point and from inside the game, each time give the same error I've placed the m()mbot folder in the scripts directory and tried a few different locations for the primary script file. I've tried version 3.1032 and 3.1035. I'm using SWATH to access TWPROXY, but I've tested just using a basic DOS client. I use the latest version of TWPROXY and have no issue with the basic scripts that it comes with and a few others I've found from the web.

I believe the issue is that the script is trying to call a function it doesn't know.

Anyone have any suggestions of what I'm doing wrong? I know there are tons of different versions of m()mbot out there, it just seems like all the scripts made available to the public are watered down and often don't work.

Thanks for the help! It seems I really need this program to seriously compete in the tourneys...which I'm very interested in!

I'm far from being a TWX or Mombot expert, but I'll offer you the same assistance I received when I had trouble getting these to work. I had another player do a remote desktop with me using join.me and he helped to get it working.

I'll also set-up a "boot-camp" game on my server with the BOTE edit so we can practice using TWX and Mombot with you.

User interface > TWXProxy > TWGS

The userinterface could be swath, zoc, putty, what ever.

The interface connects to twxproxy. (If you are using windows 7 or vista you must use the twxproxy 2.05 alpha exe)

TWXProxy connects to the twgs.

Using: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/673 ... p_v102.zip
1. TWXProxy is in the root of C: or D: ie, C:\TWProxy or C:\TW2002\TWXProxy (Do NOT unzip on your deskstop and try to run from there)

2. Mombot is ins the Script Directory, ie C:\TWXProxy\Scripts\Mombot
3. Start TWXProxy
4. Right click the TWXProxy system tray icon, click settings
5. On the Server tab, click new
6. Fill in the blanks
7. Click the checkbox for "Use Login Script" Type in your Login Name,
Password, and the Game Letter. (this next step is important, UNCHECK the Use Login Script checkbox after login name, password and game are filled out)
8. Click the OK button.0
9: Click the settings tab and set the listening port (in this example, that is 2004.
10. Click OK
11. Right click the twxproxy system tray icon and exit (this preserves the changes you made)
12. Start TWXProxy again.
(there is a twxproxy bug that if it occurs, you will have to rechoose the database - not remake it but you have to rechoose it AND you have to reset the listening port in twx proxy.)

Ports:
1. 23 or 2002 - This is the port twxproxy will use to connect to the server
2. 2004 (in this example) is the port you will use with swath, putty, zoc to connect to twxproxy

After this is set up, tell me and we will go to the next step

This is how I setup my swath/twx

I install everything in C:\TW2002

Under C:\TW2002 I have the following directories:
C:\TW2002\TWXProxy <-- The TWXProxy Directory
C:\TW2002\SWATH <-- I install the swath program here
C:\TW2002\SWATH_Files <-- I save my SWATH databases here

This the SWATH Setup for the TWXProxy game we setup above:

Using TWX Proxy scripts from SWATH:

I click Edit from the SWATH toolbar, then Preferences.

Click 'Scripts, then Page 2, then browse to the C:\TW2002\TWXProxy\Scripts Directory

Once you can connect to a game using swath through TWXProxy, then we can start working on bringing MOMBOT up. Let me know.

Helix,

Thanks for the guide with pictures that was great.

I currently have TWX setup and can connect to TWX using SWATH (or any other telnet program). I normally execute my scripts by hand... via $ to access the TWX menu... this is likely backwards but is nice so I don't get completely dependent on the SWATH dropdowns.

If you can give similar step by step guidance to get M()mbot working I'm confident I will get it working. Thanks!

I use the tray icon to load mombot. the path, following my above example is C:\TW2002\TWXProxy\Scripts\Mombot
