Unread post Rogue Galaxy back up and running well
All,

After a few emails from people who still follow my humble server, I have brought it back online with a processor and memory upgrade. I am not yet on the new version of TWGS, but plan to get there soon. For those of you that have played on my server before. I run a custom game that is intended to be a long-running building game (Game E) and when you make enough credits, you place those credits in the citadel on a level 4 planet and then can "order" a shipyard from my website (RGTWCompanion tab) that works with my TWGS server. The Shipyard is "built" on a timer and once that timer ends, your credits are pulled from the citadel and the planet is changed by one of my scripts into a Shipyard. Once the Shipyard is built and active, then you can visit another page on my website to setup custom ship designs. You have to buy a Ship Hulk (at a bargain price) from stardock and tow it to the sector with your shipyard. You leave that in orbit, and then place your order on the website for your custom ship. Another timer shows on the site, and eventually the ship will be found in orbit around your shipyard. With enough credits, you can upgrade your shipyard which leads to even more options to customize your ship designs.

The game out there now has been running a very long time. For those of you who read this and think you would enjoy a game like this, please jump in and try it out. If I get enough interest, I will go through the trouble of re-writing any code I need to so that my process works with the latest TWGS.

RGTWCompanion Guide (somewhat out of date, but gets the basic premise across): RGTWCompanion Guide

Ship Base Templates - the modifiable tables means that you can use your available modify points to boost any column to a higher level. You can also drop a column to a lower level to gain a new modifier point. For instance, drop number of mines to boost number of ptorps - Ship Base Templates
