I agree it would change gameplay, and maybe significantly. A ZTM affects game strategy. The longer a player has to browse it, the better for the unfamiliar in particular.

I remember games in the past where several players declined to play because of pre-bang published maps.

I have never released a map in the past, and I don't think my server will be bogged down because it it running on an HP DL360 G5 server, and I have 150MB Down / 20MB up internet connection.

if that's the case then there is no issue.

Wouldn't be hard to if you had a "dupe" game for us to connect with 20 players and see what happens. I've never thought it was the up/down rates but more the calculations on the server. Which may also be a limitation of the TWGS code than pure CPU power depending on how it's written.

Not to mention the suggestion that one player on each team does it.. that'd also solve the problem.

Feel free to dupe in the practice game. If we can get 20+ running ZTM, I would love to see what the processor usage is.

yeah i don't think the same problem will happen as did on mine, the server was running fine it was the internet connection that couldnt handle it
