 Death Match Ladder Style Tournament
Putting out a feeler for a series of Death Match Ladder Style Games. I think a modified SubZero Edit would be a great Edit to start with: 1 -vs- 1 6,000 Sectors Unlim Aliens Appear on day 1 SBB Port at Dock Dock Adjacent Fed No Gold Bubbles Lots of One-ways 1 Second Photons 1 Planet/Sector No Foton From FED 100% Cloak Failure Port Regen 200% Port MAX 32k Lock Decay 5 minutes Multiple fotons No Free Product Max Deaths: 1 Max Commands: Unlimited Players start in a closed game, already created. I would suggest a UnderGround Trader as a starter. My understanding of a ladder system involves a even number of players, in a structure something like: Player 1 Player 2\ A Player 3/ \ Player 4 \ Final Match - To The Death Player 5 / Player 6\ / B Player 7/ Player 8 I'm thinking hosting the first round for FRIDAY AUGUST 28, 2009 .. Games Open 8PM EASTERN; ExTern at 11PM Eastern. If anyone is interested Please let me know here in this Thread or if you wish to be anonymous contact me by email myoptik@yahoo.com or ICQ 240-630042. I'll take entries until Midnight AUGUST 27.

Re: Death Match Ladder Style Tournament
I like the setup but can't be there on a Friday. I think we need something like these fairly often - I am rusty.

Re: Death Match Ladder Style Tournament
K. so perhaps first round matchups will partially consider people schedules.. so people who can't play Friday night can play Saturday night.
So far: HELIX KEWLBREEZE PROM (Sat)
---- Edit: In the event that a Game is set and one of the parties doesn't show the person who does showup wins by default. Similarly. If both parties fail to show, the winner from another Match will automatically advance to the next round.

Will we be taking timezones into consideration? I get home from work at 7pm PDT, I can play any night of the week after that time. If people need to start at 4pm PDT (normal rebang time) Friday, then I am a Sat guy too. Does that make sense? Also LS, can I play from my server? Helix

Since our Servers are on the same Network and you would get 110ms or better Pings; I (and probably everyone else), would prefer that you don't

Re: Death Match Ladder Style Tournament
Some of the smack talk was trying do decide exactly what "death match" means. I'm not going into detail here, but since my definition is a bit different than some of the dedicated red cashers definitions are, I think I'll prolly sit it out.

Helix One Ship Destroyed. Edit: Players still get 2pods/day. Though it's supposed to be a Death Match, in the short term sense. a game can go on for much longer. first person SD'd loses.
