You know, the more I think on this the more I am leaning towards "Truce = NO combat". No ship to ship, no invasions, etc. Or let me put it this way, no OFFENSIVE moves. Leaving mines, fotoning someone, pdropping, etc is okay as long as there is no damage inflicted on the other player.
But then again "damage" is not even a good word to use. If someone fotoned me and I lost my turns during truce I would consider it damage as it affects my ability to play for the next hour.
If the truce rules are not clearly defined then of course you're going to get people like me and KB looking for loopholes. I think Toy does a good job defining the rules for a No-Combat game but even then I know I for one was always playing the guard house lawyer and looking for ways to take advantage. I want to say it was because of me he allowed fotoning other players but I'm sure he'll knock me down and claim it as his own.
It's not like truces last the entirety of the game so there's really no reason to invade even that one planet out in the middle of no where.
That's just my opinion for today. Tomorrow I'll probably come out on the Truces Should Be Banned side.
