In that case I would like to nominate Comet for the most effecient troll at derailing threads. I think he would win hands down over Kaus.

That reminds me... there should be an award for the player who responsibly reported the most critical bug of the past year.

I like this one.

Right now the most useful bug report goes to Vid and his group of testers. He located the bug that allowed players to see events from the sector while sitting on a port, SD or a planet.

And who do you think originally found that bug that Muss reported in this forum? We intentionally leak out the bugs that might drastically effect game play or cause server problems. Other bugs maybe not. We've passed on information to Micro, RP, and Vid knowing full well that that information will eventually get to you.

You might have been a little bit too subtle, because it took us quite awhile to finally identify the cause of the bug. You could kill two birds with one stone by actually reporting a bug. One, you'd actually get credit. And two, it would save a lot of time tracking it down and getting it fixed.

Naw. Credit makes no difference to us. TW Awards makes no difference to us either. We do what we do to better the game that we love. Unfortunately your latest versions just don't happen fit that bill. We just don't want our fellow players or sysops that choose to utilize your versions to be caused any undue hardship.

I think there have always been three major categories to the TW Awards.

Players, Helpers, and Web sites

So, we just need to come up with the awards under each category.

Players = Best blue, best red, best killer, best CEO, most improved...

Helpers = Swath, TWX, Mombot, Zoc...

Web Sites = EIS, Navhaz, Cruncher's...
Forums = EIS, Facebook, Hyperspace...

There was also a Hall of Fame category, which did not (IIRC) fall foul of the popularity contest trend, the winners, I think, were always deserving of the award.

Now I want to win one!...who cares what...shoot make up my own category.

I have to admit, the reason I asked is because I wondered if I can finish my helper in time to win something.
