B.O.T.E. 2013 is being hosted this year by Vid's World, a v2.20b TWGS

The invitations have been sent out to the users in the TWGS Sysop Group. If you are a member of that group you can send a team to the Battle of the Elite 2013.

Attached is the TWA file for a v2 server only. (its a modified version of the Snake Pit, 5k sectors, 1250 turns, Stardock changed from a BBB port to an SBB port, but not moved adj to fedspace, and all the Class0/9 ports have been hardened)

Vid decides all issues and conflicts.

If you, a twgs sysop, want to send a team, feel free to sign up your twgs. The corp size is 6 to be decided after the teams sign up and the rosters are filled.

Pertinent questions welcome. But just so you know, the twa is set. If we get 1 team or 20 teams the edit will stay the same.

Remember corp size is 6 and we can join small teams from different servers into bigger full teams if they want to do so. Look over the edit, its going to take an Elite team just to get a decent start. Come in late at the start and your game might be over before extern.

The original was called the Snake Pit and it was modified by Vid for B.O.T.E.

Why a highly edited game for BOTE? The originators always stuck to a nearly stock game. The last challenge game was closer to a BOTE edit.

From what I'm seeing, a couple of specialty scripts and this game will be over in a matter of minutes, not hours or days.

This is not the Battle of the Elite, this is the battle of the script writers. How many script writers are still active players?

My understanding is the winning team got to choose the following years edit and server. I believe the reason BOTE used to be so "stockish" is there weren't all the option for different edits back then that we have today.

Why are MOST the cars from the 50's on back, black for example?

An analogy hopefully you can understand for my point would be: If we were going to have a War, would we be fighting with equipment from the civil war standing in a straight line or the latest and greats drones and use gorilla warfare? It's not a civil war reenactment.

So are you sending a team or just here to voice concerns?
