Just in case you are interested in playing there... make sure you don't engage him on any other public server where he is playing. He doesn't like to be killed and will respond by promptly banning you from his server.

Or it could be that a player on my server has 2 accounts in a game
using his work IP and his Home IP

(And accidentally ..one time using his Home IP account at work)
showing matching IP's , where my SO_DupeChecker.cts warns me or banns.

I checked , I do not see any banns listed , so either something went wrong
or when my TWGS server crashed , it lost Banned IP list.

Eather way , be warned that I have a Dupe checker script that watchs server.

Thank you mockobject for helping me straighten out the IP issue I was having before
(my playing on other servers related in ALL players showing as the IP
number of that server .. now fixed)
So I can go back to using that catcher script.

Re: Shadow .. I do not have a problem with Flying Aces .. they walked away from me .. not the other way around.

Sorry to all others reading this post , seems he has been having problems on other servers I have been playing on.
Like a server running a TRUCE game without posting an in game beacon at terra for all to see when they log in.
My bad for taking level zero planets.
But I do not think after WE (my team) got the knowledge of TRUCE
That it opens the gates to KILL or Photon all other players during truce.

That's my take on it.

Vid Kid/CareTaker

I have known Vid Kid for almost 20 years. Suggest that there was a misunderstanding here. Completely honorable player.

Been playing with Vid Kid off and on for awhile now and have never had an issue...

The only thing Vid/Caretaker is guilty of is having a piss poor connection

Adding my support for a good guy.

From what I've always heard, Vid Kid runs an honest
server. He's one of the few who can claim to have
hosted from the dawn of MBBS. It's hard to find a
server with a better rep than his.

As a player...he's notoriously difficult to beat, and
brings a tenacity that has really become the stuff
of legends. Add to that he writes and shares his
incredible player and sysop scripts...and is almost
always available on teamspeak for any player with
a question.

Having said that....



He also is single-minded in his desire to win, and really,
to dominate. He will do everything in the bounds of the
rules to win.

I remember him telling the tale of sitting at the planet prompt
on another players' planet during truce, waiting for it to be
upgraded, and for truce to end. Upon truce end, he had a
macro that claimed the planet, evicted the other team, and
wisked the planet away. -Free planet, thanks for the fish!
Underhanded? Sure. Unethical? Perhaps. Within the rules?
Yeah, no rule against squatting on a planet prompt...
